Linsey Corbin went sub 9 hours (8.58:57) to finish 10th at the 2018 Ironman World Championships where she says conditions were "crazy fast." Remarkably it was her 12th time racing there! Linsey comes from a running background and her first Pro race in triathlon was in 2006. Two years later she came 5th at Kona and in 2011 she was 3rd at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships. She spent most of 2015 on the sidelines with a fractured femur and questioned if she would ever get back to the top.
This is a fun interview, with some really good advice from Linsey. You'll hear:
*The importance of racing your own race.
*Why you don't have to "feel good to go good."
*About the mental tactics she uses to get through a marathon when her legs are "battered" from mile one.
*Why you WILL come back stronger mentally and physically from an injury
*Linsey's views on periods and why having a regular one is a sign of good health
*All about Bend, Oregon and why it is THE place to be!
Helen also has a catch up with Laura Siddall after her recent guest appearance leading a strength and conditioning session at Knutsford Tri Club!
